Key Changes for 2026
1. Unlimited Test Attempts
Following the National Teacher Workforce Action Plan trial, there are now no test limits for LANTITE candidates. You can sit the test as many times as needed to meet the standard. This is a significant change from the previous three-attempt limit.
Note: Standard test fees still apply for each attempt.
2. First Year Requirement
Students commencing ITE courses in 2024 or later are expected to attempt the LANTITE before the end of their first year of study. This doesn't mean you need to pass in your first year, but you should make at least one attempt.
3. Enhanced Feedback
ACER now provides improved results statements with better feedback on areas needing improvement, helping you prepare more effectively for future attempts.
